To contribute to a greener Canada, we are hosting another session of Creative Collisions, this time about TECH INNOVATION SHAPING THE CANADIAN NET ZERO FUTURE. Focusing on the technologies and collaborations of Canadian Agriculture & Food supply chain in the context of Open Innovation.

WE’VE ALL HEARD THE TERM NET ZERO, BUT WHAT EXACTLY DOES IT MEAN?

Simply put, it refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gas produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. The idea is to reduce the amount of emissions caused by humans to the lowest possible level by investing in green technologies, and to remove CO2 emissions with initiatives such as forest expansions or direct carbon removal.

We can all tackle climate change! from countries and companies to individuals. And this change is at the top of the agenda for Canada; committed to net zero emissions goal by 2050.

As the world’s population increases, food production must match its growing needs, and that is one of the greatest single challenges of our time, that can only be achieved through innovation!

During Creative Collisions, we’ll be learning more about Precision Farming and how it can improve both yield and profits by using fewer resources, while at the same time making agriculture more sustainable and less polluting. Indoor farming, as a method of growing crops or plants -usually on a large scale- entirely indoors with artificial lights to provide plants with the nutrients required for growth… Green Transformation & Fintech will be on the topic list as well!
